That is an i...Regarding the evenness of board size:<br />That is an intentional design choice. I prefer a Tengen-less board where there's no obvious place (the central point) to play the first move; I also like the theoretical possibility of a draw, which is frowned upon and avoided by some game designers but I think deserves more love as nebulous draws can contribute to the drama of the game. And why 16x16 exactly? Because powers of two are my favorite even numbers, and those smaller or greater than 16 make Rin less interesting, at least for human players.Zhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08133475860661596221noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9100824746800598084.post-24977924806165236442012-08-02T00:12:53.432-07:002012-08-02T00:12:53.432-07:00@Carlos: You can of course play Rin on smaller or ...@Carlos: You can of course play Rin on smaller or larger boards; I consider 16x16 a sweet spot that makes the game interesting yet not tedious.Zhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08133475860661596221noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9100824746800598084.post-55197190425284173312012-08-01T14:13:09.205-07:002012-08-01T14:13:09.205-07:00Great game!
